The Mug Up: try the crab if you can
This restaurant has the ambience of a local eatery with a nice view of Sandwich Bay. You could step out onto the deck and watch the fishermen. The crab fishermen had just unloaded their catch and we decided we would like some fresh crab.Sorry, the chef is allergic to crab. The Mug Up opens at 4:00 pm and we chose something else and it was satifactory. The Northridge Pub is next door but it seemed to be closed. [ we were a bit early in the season ] We spoke with some of the locals dining there and enjoyed our stop in spite of the lack of crab. The owner came in and phoned the one gas station in town as they closed at 5:00 pm and we didnt have the fuel to make it to the next station 200 kms away. The gas station opened their pumps for us and we were on our way.
