Well if you are ever in Dildo you might want to take in the beautiful scenery and learn about culture as well as the heritage. A great way to learn about the local history is as easy as jumping aboard a boat named the Heritage Explore. The Heritage explorer will take you on a very scenic and refreshing tour of Dildo.
The boat is a 30-foot touring vessel that is operated by Gerald B. Smith, who happens to be a native of Dildo. In many peoples opinion he is one of the best people in the entire town in terms of knowing the local culture and history of Dildo.
Gerald will take you on a journey that explores the local area including the amazing Dildo Arm and stoic Dildo Island that happens to be the tours highlight.

The Society of United Fishermen's Lodge (SUF) in Dildo is one of the most happening places in all of Dildo.
Saturday night dances are regularly held, at the SUF Lodge and to be honest, there really isnt to much else to do there on Saterday nights.
Dress Code: It is a blue colar town, so wear what ever it is that makes you feel comfortable.

If you ever get the urge to go fishing or just want to take a nice relaxing ride around the ocean. Go to the fishermans lodge and ask them to set you up with a guide. You will absolutly love it.

Living in a small town, there isnt to many activities with a whole lot of promise to be social outside of going to a bar.
But what about the kids and the people that dont want to go to a bar in order to hangout with the other locals. Well, the town of Dildo built a swimming pool for that very same reason.
Durring Dildo Days it is jam packed wioth people and the center of the party..
You may notice the HUGE walls that surround it, and yes they are there to keep all of the animals out of it.

This event happens in the middle of August and extends from Friday evening until... well until Sunday when people are all partied out.
This event is the do all and end all for the people of Dildo. Infact, I would even say that this event makes the town of Dildo what it is today.

Take a wharf to the Island right off of the mainland and explore Dildo Island.
There you will see ruins of a once profitable fishing industry and will give you a feel for how Dildo was durring its peak in the 1930's &40's.

Although the town is very small, I suggest you find a local guide to show you all of the old fish hatchers ruins. Its a bit of a hike, but everyone enjoys a nice walk now anad again
Equipment: Hiking boots and proper atire is neccessary for this excursian.

Favorite thing: There are a few local fisherman in town that rent their boats out to go and Whale watch. It will cost you $30US an hour to do so. I highly suggest that you make this one of your activities while visiting Dildo.
