Favorite thing: One of the fun things we did was roam around the facilities of CHETICAMP FISHERIES - PECHERIES. Located along the Harbour, the area around the Fisheries building was full of Fishing Boats which were probably dry-docked or waiting for repairs to be done on them.
Cheticamp Fisheries, established in 2007, is a fish processing Plant and seafood wholesaler, which provides high quality precooked and frozen, snow crab, lobster and other seafood products.

Favorite thing: Erected in 1892-1893, on a site along the Cabot Trail Drive, overlooking the Cheticamp Harbour. ST. PETER'S CHURCH or L'Eglise Saint-Pierre, is Cheticamps local Catholic Church.
With its architecture, frescoes and stained glass windows, it is one of the most beautiful churches on Cape Breton Island.
The large sandstone church is a prominent structure which can be seen at some distance. The main entrance is dominated by a large rose window of stained glass.
The church is valued culturally for its role in the spiritual life of Cheticamp, a French Acadian Catholic community.
