We visited The Shore Line Restaurant during our visit to Digby in 2005 and made a point of going back on our next visit in 2007. This place is not the ritz but like most restaurants in NS has a rustic, local charm. On our first visit there was live music being played inside but we chose to sit outside on the rear terrace which overlooks the harbour.
We also sat outside on our return trip in 2007 and were treated to the most amazing view of the sun going down as we ate. It was one of those days when the sun appeared to be the size of a dinner plate and the view as it sunk out of sight below the scallop fleet was amazing. If only I had a camera good enough to capture the moment.
Favorite Dish: The food on offer is the usual fayre but is well presented, tasty and plentiful to say the least. First time round we made the mistake of ordering the mixed starter platter, which sounds and tastes fantastic, problem is that it is so big that it nearly filled us up before arriving at the main course. We opted to abandon the starter most of the way through to leave a little room for the main course. Everything that we have tried has been very good. The liver & onions was fab.
Prices are such good value that we managed to force down a desert as well. Wine was very reasonable and served by the glass, half bottle or bottle which is great. The waitresses are efficient and very friendly.
We will be going back again if we are ever back in Digby.
Tricky Dicky rating 8 / 10.

I don't know if The Fundy Restaurant is any better or worse than any other of the many restaurants along Water Street, but it is certainly well advertised. I sat out on the back deck, overlooking the harbour. There's a lower level too, and a fairly large inside dining room.
There was a huge lobster tank, with one very special blue lobster. As you can see in the picture I took, with a flash the blue REALLY pops out!
Favorite Dish: I had the fish and chips - it was haddock, nicely battered, a generous serving of chips/fries, and a scoop of coleslaw/cabbage salad, with tarter sauce & ketchup/catsup/tomato sauce. It was all well prepared, and very good, but nothing extremely outstanding.

Food was excellent. Great location on the water front with outside patios on 2 floors
Favorite Dish: Since I did not want fish again I chose salad hamburger and fries.
