Old and atmospheric Maritime pub that has you imagining another era with a convenient location and its own beer too.
Favorite Dish: I had an okay Halibut with mashed potatoes for CAN$9.25. The potatos were instant and fish a big dry. D had an awful piece of shark and didn't feel too well later that night. I will say that perhaps the fish suffered from lack of refrigeration during the aftermath of Hurricane Juan but you shouldn't serve tainted food if that is the case. At any rate, portions were small as well. Their house beers were uniformly awful though they did have other local beers on tap too. Try the Propeller Bitter for the best this place has to offer.
The Split Crow pub quite close to the waterfront in Halifax is well worth a stop. Great food and drink in a pub atmosphere with lots of downtown bustle taking place as you gaze out through the open windows!
