Warehouse Restaurant / Tug's Pub, Halifax

The Waterfront Warehouse Restaurant with Tug's Pub is in a big box of a building on Halifax's waterfront. The restaurant and patio has great views over the harbour and the pub is cozy and comfortable. Staff is friendly and good at what they do and jump in with recommendations when asked. Prices and ratings based on Tug's Pub for lunch. Good portions, well presented. Pub is decorated in a nautical theme and is called "Tug's" because it is located beside where many of the harbour tugboats are moored. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was quiet and cozy.

Update: I've been to the Waterfront Warehouse dining room and the food there was excellent with a major focus on seafood and fish. There are only a small number of non-fishy type dishes including a burger. I had seafood chowder and mussels and my partner had a burger and they were all excellent. The prices in the dining room are a bit higher. Desserts are all made in house and mouthwateringly good. Wait staff was attentive and professional and very friendly.

Pay and display parking lot is free on weekends and after 6 p.m.

Favorite Dish: Fish and chips served with a large piece of fish in a cone of "newspaper"
Barbequed pulled pork on a roll.
Steaks cooked just how you ask for.
They also do sweet potato fries which are really tasty.
Small number of desserts but they're very good including a warm apple crumble with maple ice cream and a mint chocolate cheesecake.

Fresh seafood and fish in the dining room. Seafood chowder is wonderful!

Great big restaurant at the former warehouse opposite the tug pier. Outside terras with view on the water. Popular oyster & mussels bar inside.
Good for big parties.

At the city side you find the Tug's Pub.
