If you are travelling with kids to Halifax, you must put the Discovery Centre on your itinerary. This science centre features interactive, hands-on activities that will appeal to kids of all ages. And don't be deceived by what you see on the first floor - this place is huge! After two hours, my niece and nephew had barely been through half the centre's rooms and insisted on going back the next day (so I went bookshopping, ha ha!). A really fun thing to do on a rainy afternoon, even adults will enjoy the bubble room, the suspension bridge and the race track!
The Discovery Centre is a great place for a family visit. It's a hands on centre for finding out about all things science and technology with lots of interactive exhibits. They are actually a registered charitable organization and a non-profit one as well. They run special camps and programs over school holidays as well as offer group and class tours. They will even do a birthday party type function.
