Visit Hector Heritasge Quay, where Ship Hector replica plays homage to the first 200 Scots who settled in Pictou to make it the "birthplace of Nova Scotia".

You must walk along the coast in Peggy's Cove on top of the worn granite boulders. It gives you a clue as to how immense the powers of nature are in shaping the landscape.

Formely Knox Presbyterian, the 1st of the 3 churches that you stumble upon when entering Mahone Bay has a rectangular steeple with a flat top, quite the contrast from the other two churches.

This makes for a nice drive. Lots of small rivers and lakes. Only took a couple of hours to pass through. I'm not sure if it is worth staying here but you may want to look into it.

It's a nice little touristy town and home of the Bluenose II. Lots of quaint little shops and some delicious seafood! (I recommend the scallops!)
