Th'YARC is the local Arts Council Building. If you are really, really lucky there will be a live performance while you're in Yarmouth. I have enjoyed live theatre productions in many places, but by comparison, Yarmouth has to be classed right up there with the best. The props may not be as glitzy, but the talents on parade here more than make up for any lack of background. The group has a limited budget to work with, but still manages to pull off great costumes, lots of talented performing. If you are even only mildly interested in live theatre, you must try to catch a performance here!

The summer productions at the Grand Hotel are really worthwhile. Be warned, they are popular, so if you are planning a short trip in this area, be sure you reserve tickets, or you will miss the fun. And fun it is. The theatre troupe are young, and very personable. There is a lot of interaction between actors and audience, and you can count on lots of laughs. If you're shy sit far from the stage area, and even that may not save you. Tables are set up in large groups, so you have lots of company. Great chance to meet fellow visitors and the local crowd. And for sure, if you're staying in the area, ask the local crowd what to see and do. You'll get lots of different answers from everyone you talk to!
Dress Code: no bare back, legs or feet. Nice casual would be the best description.
Short-shorts, literally bare feet, no shirts, could be denied entry.
