Morning on the water

Boats can be rented from Opeongo outfitters, which is at the southern tip of opeongo lake. I think ours came to about $24.

A beaver dam along the Beaver Pond Trail

The Beaver Pond Trail is a short moderate-rated trail (2 km) that passes by 2 beaver ponds. We didn't see any beaver, but we saw a moose across one of the beaver ponds instead.

Not only the turtles seem to be basking in the sun, so were these flowers on the edge of Wolf Howl Pond.
