Its a cool trendy 2 story store in the middle of Alliston. You would think this store should be in Yorkville, you know it's not when you meet the people. The staff their are so helpful and nice. I was looking for the right jeans and they found them for me.
What to buy:
Jeans, jeans and more jeans. They also have great brand like Roxy, Quiksilver, Volcom, Guess. They have Columbia Sportswear and Sierra Designs. If you are looking for any clothes the staff know what they are talking about and the customer service is awesome.
They have Juicy Couture and Sevens Jeans. But the cool thing is everybody can shop their even for stuff like Mexx and Esprit. Its a store everybody can find something. My whole family shops at Marshalls.
What to pay:
The clothes are quaility and the stuff lasts. You get what you pay for.
Here's a list of all the chain stores that you can find in Alliston (you've probably been to most of them already in different cities.)
-Shoppers Drug Mart
-Giant Tiger
-Zellers
-Canadian Tire
-Carleton Cards
-Sobeys
-Blockbuster Video
-Dollerama
-Stedmans
-Sears
-Zehrs
-Color Your World
-Radio Shack
All the books this little store sells are used, but for a much cheaper price. They usually look almost as good as new -not too tapered or torn up. So this is a good place to shop for books if you don't care if they're used and you want to spend less money. They have all different categories - cooking, travel, self-help, mystery, adventure, horror, teen, etc.
If you prefer brand new books, or if this store doesn't have what you're looking for - A Loft of Books is right across the street.
What to pay:
They take cash or cheque here but I don't know if they have debit. The books are not expensive though. Kathy Reich, my favourite author - her books normally cost 13 dollars, but here they were only 5 dollars a peice! Not bad.
I have to warn you that this place is pretty expensive, but it has a lot of great designer clothes for teenagers of both sexes. Sweatshirts, jeans, jewellary, accessories, shoes, shirts - all very preppy.
The salespeople here tend to be pushy and annoying, so be prepared. It's a very tiny store for all the different clothing items it sells, but it's nice to look around in once in a while.
What to pay:
A lot, if you're looking for a whole new wardrobe. I spent $100 last time on two shirts, a pair of sandals, and a necklace.
