Nolet and his wife work all day, every day at their pancake house during the summer months. They are very nice, and don't seem to ever forget a face. I've been going there only once a year if that since I was five or six years old, and they know me and my brother when they see us.
The pancake house itself is a gigantic wooden lodge with a bright orange roof that you can probably see from space. It's really worth visiting if you're passing by and it's open. A real Canadian experience, and often a welcome rest for the road-weary.
Favorite Dish: The best dish you can get there is this: two fresh pancakes made from flour which the couple buys from a local mill, sausages from a local butcher, cold milk from a local dairy and fresh, pure maple syrop that the Nolets harvest themselves. This is a winter's meal to die for! Heavenly, and it all tastes so fresh!
By the way, this place isn't really in Bancroft, but it's relatively nearby (by Canadian standards).
