  • Billybong's Food and Drink: Billybong's Food and Drink

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I kind of found this place by accident. I was always under the impression that there really wasn't much to do here in Brantford. But one night me and a friend were bored so we thought we'd head out and see if we could find anything that was even just a little interesting. We set off for one place first but it turned out to be a little lame and then we heard about Billybong's. Some people we met were headed there and they said that it was THE place to be in town. It's a sort of bar/club with an okay sized dance floor. We went on a Friday and Saturday night and both nights the place was absolutely packed. We ended up having an awesome time.

Dress Code: There's not really a dress code. Most people dress up but there were people there who were in their regular clothes.

  • Two Doors Down: Get a Taste of Local Music

by Adamwalker Written Jul 11, 2005

The pubs in this strip have been around for many years. The name "Two Doors Down" actually refers to a bar that used to be 2 doors from it named Poorfolks Deli. Any lover of live music in Brantford will tell stories of wild nights spent at Poorfolks.
Since the closing of Poorfolks, a lot of the bands have moved to the less homey Two Doors Down. They feature live music 7 nights a week, and friendly staff and patrons who are sure to show you a good time.

Dress Code: If you happen to be a hippie, you'll fit right in. You'll need to wear shoes if you are not on the dancefloor.

Pourhouse Bar & Grill: Sexiest Nightclub

by lovemycacti Written Jan 31, 2004

This is the place to be in Brantford if you're under 30 and looking for a crazy time. This is Brantford's version of a Toronto nightclub - young, trendy and a little risque. (Wet T Shirt contests and Thong Competitions are frequently offered.)

Definately not for people seeking a quiet laid back atmosphere. Due to Brantford's anti-smoking bylaw, this club does offer an enclosed smoking area. It also boasts MANY pool tables and frequently hosts live bands and radio station DJs.

Dress Code: Anything goes, although I've seen girls wear things that would make Britney Spears and Madonna blush! Think trendy, trendy, trendy.

The Ring Carribean Restaurant & Bar: Island Fever

by lovemycacti Updated Jan 31, 2004

Drive downtown Colborne Street and you won't be able to miss this place! Brightly decorated in the flag colours of Jamaica this unique place certainly livens up a drismal downtown.

Try the jerk chicken which Jamaica is famous for and relax while listening to a live band. Definately call ahead for hours and events listings as they frequently change.

    Dress Code: Anything goes. Relaxed.
