Chalk River Travel Guide

Between Ottawa and North Bay, travelling on Highway 17, there is a beautiful stop on the Chalk River, called the Petawawa Visitor Center. There is ample parking for all Vehicles, from RVers to boaters.
If the visitor centre is open, stop by there first and learn about the flora and fauna of the area. If you have children, let them visit the informative outdoor display.
From the visitor centre, you can choose to walk along the Riverside Boardwalk, or you can take the well laid out forest walk.
Bikers are adbised to get a map from the visitor centre and enjoy a bike ride into the forests at the back of the visitor centre.
