Zachary's: Great for the locals, and tourists, Dorset

CdnJane Says:  Zachary's is well known to the locals as a good place for coffee and a muffin, or a tea biscuit, or a cooked breakfast. They serve lunch and dinner/supper too, but I've only had the experience of the breakfast. I was there with friends who have been regulars, and it was fun...

Stares Clothing: Great Variety and Prices

Out in the middle of "cottage country", there is a remarkable store with excellent prices, and sizes for all. My mother's friends have shopped there for years, and I finally encountered it on Sat. The owner, June, and her daughter, Jane, were really excellent in finding clothes that I was really happy with, and very comfortable wearing. And, we were there when some of the stock was 50% off! Can't beat that. Good quality and prices to match.

What to buy: I got some casual wear, but also a couple of outfits for work, or dressier social events.

What to pay: Prices were about what I've paid for lesser quality in Toronto - not cheap, but excellent priced.

Where and when?

Where and when?, Dorset

sim1 Says:  If you missed the fall colours in one area, it doesn't mean you've missed all of it. When I tried to see the colours, my first instinct was to go to Algonquin Provincial Park. But when I arrived there, I quickly concluded I was too late and I had to go further south. So I...
