This is a one day festival held once a year generally in the march/april time slot.
Its lots of fun but freezing so make sure you dress warmly.
Elmira is a Mennonite town, very picturesque and interesting.
On festival day the towns main street is closed to traffic for the festival.

There are dust roads in this area so perhaps it s a good idea to try a buggy?
Ops, you ll need a horse too of course...too bad!

Local folks that are of the Mennonite belief do not use motorized means of transportion, but just a buggy.

A small sign at the bridge says no smoking allowed when crossing it.

We parked the car along the road.
Some guy was arranging three buggies on the crossing.
It was as if he was doing this on purpose for people to photograph for as soon as he saw we were about to park the car, he ran off.
Might have been it was for tourist or he being a mennonite that he ran of, I do not know.
Unique Suggestions: Do like us: take your time and photograph away!

Favorite thing: Take your time and photograph the bridge from each angle. Especially when you have a digital camera it sure is worth the bother.
