Georgian Bay Islands National Park Things to Do

Rent a canoe or kayak from Honey Harbor and boat out to Georgian Bay's largest island: Beausoleil. Pack your camping gear and spend the night on one of the many well kept campsites along the shore. Explore the hiking trails on the island.

Admire Georgian Bay's landscape and the charm of the little houses that you'll find all over. Say hi to the locals that pass you by on a boat and take lots of pictures of the amazing islands and their foliage.

Often mentioned in articles on the Georgian Bay Park, the fish restaurant at Sans Souci is worth the boat ride. The decor is spartan, the tables are "family style", but the food is delicious. Fresh fish wonderfully cooked. This place is family run and only accessible by boat. They catch the fish daily.

Favorite Dish: Fish and chips, with fresh white fish caught that morning.
Fresh water salmon, wonderful with some lemon juice on it.

Midland is a very nice little town, at about 1.30 hours from Toronto. It is famous for its colorful walls, painted as murals reconstructing the history of the province. It is also the gateway for a Georgian Bay boat tour.
