Harmony Crafts is a shop that I could browse for hours. It is not your run-of-the-mill gift shop. They carry items from all over the world that are hand-picked by the owner for quality, beauty, and novelty. I am always happy when I receive a gift purchased at Harmony.
What to buy: They carry handcrafted wares in a variety of media from ceramics to paper, to wood, to jewellery, to beads, to apparel, housewares and much more. Treat yourself by going in for a look while you are in Guelph. Many items are imported from around the world, but Harmony also sells lots of interesting items made by local artists.
What to pay: It runs the gamut from a few cents to hundreds of dollars.
It was tempting to write up the Bookshelf under Must See Activities. I cannot overstate how cool this place is. It is our go to every chance we get while we are in Guelph. It is an incredible bookstore, plus a cafe and repertory cinema as well.
If you visit, make note of the bulletin board which shows patrons' photographs of their Bookshelf t-shirts with landmarks in various locales around the world. Last time I checked, this board included one of Tyler Stewart, the drummer in Barenaked Ladies.
Geared to the dog professional but open to the general public. An excellent supply of quality dog products grooming supplies, as well as crates, toys, food, leashes, and lots more. Very knowledgable and helpful owner. This store is especially great for poodles and all their extra grooming needs.
