A pleasant Irish-themed pub, quite large actually. Very friendly and prompt staff, good selection of local and international beers (especially Irish). And Irish whisky of course. Food also available, looked good, though we never ordered anything ourselves. There was a live band playing the night we were there. They were Canadian, but they sang traditional Irish tunes and put on good Irish accents. All in all a jolly time.
Check out the website for some interesting prohibition-era history of the building the pub is now housed in!

This is more like a pub where you can loudly announce what you have to say in front of the public. This was a local custom here in Kingston a long time ago when Kingston was the Capital city of Canada.
This and many other place in Kingston serves food, drinks and provide live entertainment to the guests. Pubs are very popular in the area since the majority of the locals are from a Irish descent.

This is the main dance club in Kingston. Pretty good if your into that. The dress code is pretty casual. People here keep going back and forth between stages (dance) and AJ's (rock) wich is kinda odd to me, but it's still nice because people are friendly and they don't make a big fuss about style.

This place was a movie theatre until it became 'Aj's Hangar' at the beginning of the 90's. It's a place where you can listen to live local bands. (like Road Appls, a great tribute to the Tragically Hip which is also a local band)

FOR MEN ONLY!
The Plaza Hotel (strip club)
Well..I haven't been in, but my sister-in-law said this place was REALLY kinda nasty and seedy...(she lives here)
This is THE ONLY strip club in Kingston, and still it's all dark and there is no real publicity outside or anything, so you kinda have to look for it.

This is the main university bar in Kingston. Thursday nights used to be the big boozefest. A lot of the campus drunks would show up here for the cheap drinks, bad music and easy girls / guys. You need to be a Queen's student to get into this bar (or you need to be signed in by one), so this was the place that all of the prissy Toronto girls could let down their guard and become a little more loose with the drinks, etc.
The bar is run by students so you can get away with pretty much anything here. For insurance reasons, the security staff aren't allowed to touch you, so they have to try and talk people out of drunken rage. Good times for all!
