You'd better be hungry though because the portions are huge. On the other hand, I don't think they mind if you share. You can eat in, take out, or they even have delivery. They also serve a great breakfast.

Gold City is where we always go for Chinese take out. They also do table and delivery service.
It's a family business and they are always extremely friendly and conscientious and speedy.
Horse racing fans will enjoy visiting Gold City as well, since the owners are big fans and have all kinds of horseracing memorabilia in the restaurant. I've also heard that many of the jockeys from nearby Mohawk raceway come to eat at Gold City after their races.

Harrop's is the place where people in Milton go to eat for very special occasions. It has a variety of very gourmet and beautifully prepared dishes.
I've only eaten there once a few years ago. I think I had some kind of tenderloin dish with chevre. I remember that what I had was delicious. Leave a Comment

You'd never expect to find great sushi in tiny Milton! Midori is a small restaurant with 5 or 6 regular tables, a sushi counter, and 4 quasi-private rooms. They also offer take out. My husband eats lunch here a couple of times each month, and we now have a New Years Eve tradition of coming for lunch with the kids. They love the little rooms!
I'm not crazy about sushi and prefer tempura, so I order the Tempura Bento Box, which is excellent. Hubby and the kids like everything, so they always order the 'sushi lunch' with a bit of this 'n that. When we were in San Diego recently, we tried something like a California roll, but wrapped around a tempura shrimp. Hubby described it to the sushi-artist (I'm sure they have a proper name and that's not it) and he made it exactly. That was good! Everyone in town goes here for delicious fish and chips. Most people get take out, but they have table service as well. They are also licenced, so you can get a beer with your meal. The decor leaves something to be desired, but it kind of adds to the charm in a way. You don't see fishing lure wallpaper every day!
You might hear the locals refer to this place as "Ben's". It's one of those small town quirks. It's always been named Golden Dish and Chips, but Ben used to run the place until he retired a few years ago. Folks have yet to break the habit of calling it "Ben's". An Asian family runs it now, and the food is as good as it has always been.
