General Falls Tips, Niagara Falls

Favorite thing: This is a link to a freeze-frame camera mounted on the Sheraton Hotel overlooking the falls.
It snaps a still frame a few times per hour, every day, all year long so you can get an idea of the conditions in the area.

Favorite thing: The word "Onguiaahra" appears on maps as early as 1641. Both it and the later version "Ongiara" are Indian words generally interpreted as meaning "The Straight", although the romantic "Thunder of Waters" is sometimes given. By the time the first white man arrived at the Falls, the name in general use was "Niagara"

Favorite thing: ciao!!! i stayed at Niagara falls 4 years ago, i stayed on the canadian side, i think it's sufficent to stay there 1 day, because the city isn't so interesting... really i didn't like so much as a city, but the falls are so nice specially with a sunny day, because the colour of the water is wonderful!!! absolutely u have to catch the ship which take u in the middle of the falls, and make sure to cover your-self so well, otherwise u get off completely wet!!!
about the train to New york, i remember the waiting for the train is soooo long, i took a train from canadian side to Toronto, and i waited it 2 hours before the departure, cause the custom's procedure,so i don't know on whatside is better to take it, on the either sie i think u hvae to wait so long cause the custom....
anyway have a nice trip!!!

Favorite thing: If I had to take some one there who had never been, I would just take them to the Falls. Let them walk around alone- it's so soothing and great for dreaming!

Fondest memory: My favorite memory of Niagara Falls was just standing at the falls. The sound of all of that water plunging into to lakes is so relaxing. I would've stood there all day if I could've. I walked as far down the walk as I could. In one part the mist gets so thick, you feel like you're up in the clouds. It's amazing!

Mistery and Misery.
I was talking to some kids of Albania about the misery in their country. The kid says i´m an ignorant. Hoxa`s regime ended in 1985. After 21 years of "freedom" this is the report.

The saddest thing in life is not to be aware of the reality of our own country. That´s sad!!!

Favorite thing: If you do venture behind the falls, it may be wise to take a plastic bag to protect your camera/video recorder from as much water as possible, in between filming. You do get soaked.

Also be aware the floor underfoot is very wet, and slippery, so do be careful.
