Movieland Wax museum is located at Clifton Hill. It has many well-known characters from the movies or tv like THE SIMPSON'S or STAR WARS. Some of the figures actually did resemble the characters they portrayed.
We spent a moment taking silly pictures. There is an electric chair featured towards the end of the displays--don't sit in it or you'll get a shocking surprise! Ha,ha. All in all, as far as wax museums are concerned...we liked it.
I've been three times to Niagara Falls, hahaha, and it took me until the third time to visit the tourist area of 'Clifton Hill'. As many of you might now, this is not my kind of place. I like nature, architecture, picturesque villages, but not flashing lights with numerous tourist traps. And that is what Clifton Hill is, in my opinion anyway :-)) But I had fun here! Why? Just to look around, see all the lights, and be amazed what you can see in an area like this. I haven't gone in any of the numerous attractions though, I just enjoyed taking pictures of their colourful flashing bright lights as an attempt to attract the tourists.
This is a picture of the outside of Movieland. At the Movieland Wax Museum you can see famous movie, television and recording stars. Is it any good? I honestly don't know. But it was one of the attractions with the most lights :-)))
Displays of carved stars in detail from popular movies, televisions and recordings and set in their repsective movie scenes.

The Movieland Wax Museum features wax models of famous celebrities (real and fictitious) from well-known films and TV shows. You'll see Cher from Moonlighting, Yoda and Darth Maul from Star Wars, the Simpsons, Crocodile Dundee, E.T., and more! Truth be told, it's a bit of a tourist trap, and some of the wax celebs do not look much like the celebrities they are meant to portray, but if you have some time to kill and want some light-hearted fun, it's not bad!
Great! Wax museum and more....I got to meet lots of my favorite celebreties. $10 Cnd per adult. 45 minutes to go around the museun. Great to do after supper.
Movieland Wax Museum has all of your favorite movie, television and recording stars. After painstakingly carving out every star in detail, they are set in their most memorable movie scenes ever!
Well, for every tip I put up on Niagara Falls, they all can also fall into the 'tourist trap' catagory, but what the heck you only live once. So if you're looking for inconvenient, overpriced parking, cheap and somewhat tacky souveniers and more museums that scream "tourism!" than you can shake a stick at - welcome to Clifton Hill and the Niagara Falls experience!
Movieland, Museum of the Stars is a pretty descent display of, well, you guessed it - movies and movie stars. Kids will probably get a thrill here, seeing Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, and other well-known favourites. The Austin Powers figure was fabulously life-like -check my homepage for a picture. Stop by the Simpsons area and get your picture taken with your own camera for free. Ah carumba.
