    Queenston Heights National Historic Site

The birthplace of Canada, Battle of Queenston Heights took place in October of 1812, when an American invasion force was defeated.

Now becomes the home of Brock's Monument, as well as the Laura Secord Monument; picnickers have used this park for generations. Facilities include two picnic pavilions, washrooms, children's wading pool, fine dining at Queenston Heights Restaurant, tennis courts, a bandshell, snack bar and children's playground.

I read the web site and could a picture of Niagara Falls not been used instead of the Taj Mahal???? Also, no time is given for the start of the band concerts. It would ne helpful for people to know this in advance. It might be a good idea for the Federal Govenment to have the monument repaired so that people can once again do the climb.

The Queenston Heights historic Park and recreation ground is on the site of the Battle of Queenston Heights and is dominated by the 49.2m.(160ft) high momument to Sir Isaac Brock who was killed while leading British troops against the invading U.S.
forces during the battle on Oct.13th 1812.

The momument is under the jurisdiction of Parks Canada, while the Park and Restaurant are under Niagara Parks jurisdiction.

Band concerts are held here on Sunday afternoons during the summer months.
