Shopping in Oakville
There are different shops and malls in Oakville, where you can find I think almost all you need. But this shop was interesting to me for some reason. I am not a smoker and I wonder why Oakville needs specialized shope for cigars.

Florence Meats: South African Foods
All the South African specialties. Delicious biltong and boerewors. Other deli items as well. The owners moved here from SA some years ago and make their biltong right here in Canada. I was so happy to discover this place right in my home town after thinking I'd have to go back to SA to ever taste biltong again!
Denninger's Foods of the World: European Deli & Bakery
As the name implies, Denninger's does have food from around the world, but the majority of it is European. I love coming here, especially on weekends when they have free samples! Bread is baked fresh daily. Lots of meats and coldcuts, delicious Swiss and Belgian chocolates. I'm salivating just thinking about it. Don't come here hungry, I'm warning you! There is also a larger store in the neighbouring city of Burlington that has more selection and a cafeteria section where you can buy lunch. See website for other locations.
What to buy: Meats, fresh bread, chocolates, at Christmas time they sell chocolate decorations for the tree (European tradition), gift baskets.
Oakville Place: Oakville's Main Shopping Centre
All information available on their website below...location, hours, stores, special events, etc.
What to buy: Mostly clothing stores, some gift shops, specialty shops, card shops, convenience store, food court, book store, music/video store, department stores..but missing a pet shop (boo!).
Trafalgar Village: Shopping Plaza
This is an outdoor shopping plaza. It used to be an indoor shopping centre, but it wasn't doing well and didn't have many interesting stores. Now it has a lot more variety, including a hardware store, restaurants, grovery store, women's gym, etc. The pet shop recently closed down, but it was a sketchy, dirty place anyways, so I'm happy about that.

A fully stocked Christmas store, open year-round. We were there in June.
