Well, as I found out driving Waalewiener (Hansi) and LoriPori (Lori) around, there is also Tudhope Park.
After coming back from Casino Rama, it was nice to stop here, sit in the shade, and watch the children and families play in the water. Oh, yes, and also enjoy an ice cream cone too!
I guess the Tudhope family who have the shoe store, has contributed significantly to Orillia to have a park named for them.

The lake near Casino Rama is Lake Couchiching. As my traveling companions, Hansi & Lori, commented, that sounds like what is happening at the Casino - money disappearing... couch-iching! So, those who named the lake many many years ago, knew what was going to happen nearby.
The Casino has come a long way from when it first opened, with a tent for concert viewing. Now there is a big hotel, several restaurants and an area of shops, not to mention the theatre that has had some of the top stars performing.
The casino is located on the Rama Reserve, and its overall theme is that of Native Canadians and their art. Beautiful native paintings cover the outside walls.

Every weekend during the summer, there seems to be something going on by the waterfront. This weekend was Christmas in June, where the boats in the harbour were to be decorated. Unfortunately, they hadn't really done much when we got there around 12:30pm. But, it was still nice to be by the water, and enjoy the breeze, and the people walking about. Watch the dogs enjoy paddling in the water at the boat launch ramp. (not while a boat is actually being launched or being brought ashore, though!)
