attend a Wine Tasting Fundraiser - but...

by kenHuocj Written May 10, 2015

#6 was labelled Wine Tasting Fundraiser with Snacks , Cheese and Food. The Knights of Columbus 7873 had it's first Tasting of WInes from South Africa in Oct 2004, in 2007(?) we cancelled a tasting because i missed a flight from from CDG in Paris.
But i am asked by regulars who have attended every Tasting, when is the next one, thus with the calls of the flute of Bacchus, newer labels and changing trends, here in Ontario the LCBO ~Liquor Control Board Of Ontario, a Monopoly and huge profits margins, regularly splurge on glossy flyers and brochures to attract customers to use their credit cards for more and more.Kateri Native Ministry of Ottawa
three white and three reds were tasted, three cheeses, the mutton curry and south african desserts were served and savoured.
for $30-00 and a few more for the raffle it was a fun evenign to raise needed funds for the Kateri group and Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity in Klipgate, NW Province in S.AFrica

Grateful to all who help set up, served wines, sommelier Eric who guided us through the tasting, and most important attendees who joined in the evening to share their hard earned resources with others in need. Meegwetch~ Aum !

digging in and matching the wines with meal hall set and ready A Cape Malay Mutton Curry with the Red WInes Padre Kristian, GK and Kateri Ministry ~ John and Fellow Commonwealth attendees
