Favorite thing: The best ways to experience the beautiful sights and streets of Ottawa are either walking or cycling in the city. The roads and walkways are well developed and the city is easy to navigate. Furthermore, most of the major attractions are near to each other. The weather in Ottawa is pleasent for walking during summer to autumn, but winter is very cold here.

Favorite thing: Bicycle along the Rideau canal.
Rollerblade on the other side of the Ottawa river
on the Quebec side, from Hull to Aylmer along the
    river shoreline.
Hike on trails within the Gatineau Park.

Fondest memory: Sunsets from Parliament Hill.

Favorite thing: Rent, borrow (or steal!) a bicycle and spend happy hours away from the traffic of downtown Ottawa wheeling along the river and Rideau canal. It's gorgeous!

Fondest memory: A vegetarian restaurant called 'The Green Door'. You pay according to the weight of what you eat. I spent a lot!
