The shuttle to the tip departs from the visitor centre every 20 minutes. It's about a 7 minute ride. This service is free (or probably included in the park entrance fee!).
Hours (as of 2006): April 1-30: 10am-5pm; May 1-22: 7am-5pm; May 23-Sept 4: 10am-7pm; Sept 5-Oct 9: 8am-6pm; Oct 10-31: 8am-5pm (weekends only); Nov 1-March 31: closed.

As cars are not allowed on the roadway to the "TIP", you can board the complimentary TRAIN TO THE "TIP". It leaves every 20 minutes, beginning on the hour, from the Visitor Center. You can park your vehicle at the parking lot provided.
The "Train" takes you on a 2.5 km ride to the Trailhead, where it is a 10 minute walk to the "TIP".
