Every Sunday night in July and August, the town of Thornbury hosts live jazz music in the pavilion at Bayview Park. Hundreds of people will bring their lawnchairs or blankets and relax on the grassy lawns near the shore of Georgian Bay while listening to a different Jazz Band each week. The concerts are free but donations are welcome. Some people bring their own beverages and picnics but there is also hot coffee and refreshments for sale.
The music begins at 7pm and lasts until 9pm, just in time to catch sunset over the bay.

Whenever I am on holiday, I like to make a point of watching the sunset as often as possible. Luckily, Thornbury is located on the shores of Georgian Bay so it makes for an ideal spot to see the brilliant colours of the evening sky reflected in the water.
