Winter nights can get very cold, and vehicles manufactured for Canada, have engine block heaters. You plug them in at night, and it keeps the oil and coolant warm, so when you go to start your engine in the morning, it will turn over easier!

Motels have an outdoor receptacle at each parking space to facilitate that!

If you didn't know about this, you would wonder, what the heck is that cord coming from each vehicle plugged into the wall! he!

P.S. That is my good dad, after a cold Timmmins night this January, we were warming up the car, and getting ready to go to his brothers funeral service!
