Map of the Toronto Island Park
Favorite thing: Toronto Island Park is a place to unwind. Spend more time here because there is so much to do aside from relaxation. Spend a day!
Can you see the map of the Toronto Island Park? This is what I am telling you. It is so huge that you almost have no time to sit. This is if you really want to explore the whole of it.
As soon as you disembark from the Ferry Boat, you will see the map right in front of the entrance of the Centre Island. Check and see so that your walking will be smooth and you have nothing to miss.

Favorite thing: Take a trip on the ferry to the Toronto Islands. Although Centre Is. is very touristy, you can rent a bike and relax there. There is also a nude beach there, on the west side (Hanlon's Pt) for those that are interested. It is only 15 minutes on the ferry from the hustle and bustle of the city, like an oasis. And if there is to be a fireworks show, the island is a great place to see it from.
Fondest memory: Watching the fireworks at Ontario Place from the Island with friends on a nice summer evening.

Enjoy summer by the water
Favorite thing: I don't do it often enough.. the Aug 24th mini-meeting reminded me of it... but walking down by the harbourfront is terrific. Toronto is built on the shores of Lake Ontario, but sometimes we forget all about the lake. It could be because it is so hard to see the water with all the condominium buildings between the lake and the rest of the city. However, it is great to sit and eat on one of the patios at Queen's Quay (pronounced Key) watching the people walking by and the water traffic. As the evening darkens, enjoy the lights of the ferries, and the harbour cruise boats. If I had only thought to take a picture of the waterfront, and not just the people I was with!

The Toronto Island Ferries at Sunset
Favorite thing: While you are in Toronto and are looking for romance or simply want to see Toronto's skyline at its best then take a trip on the Island ferry at sunset. I have done this several times and sight of seening the skyline at this time on a clear calm night never fails to mesmerize me. Ideally this should be done from Ward's Island from where the ferry cuts across to the other Island docks before returning to the Main Ferry Terminal. For just $5.00 it is a cheap way to see the city.
Favorite thing: take a ferry over to the Toronto Islands.
Fondest memory: Fondest memory was of taking the ferry over to the Toronto Islands. Once you're there, it's a nice place to hike around, visit the quaint houses, or just chill; there are some beaches as well. I think the roundtrip ticket price for the ferries was about 5 C.D. There were 3 different ports where you could arrive or depart.

Favorite thing: See the harbourfront. I was there for the first time last month and I really liked it there. It's kind of like a getaway from the noise and people of the city. They're going to be doing some major renovations there and I kind wait to see how it's going to turn out.
Fondest memory: Since my best friend lives here, I head over there quite a bit. We have the best time going out and walking around the city.

SEE THE CITY/CENTRE ISLANDS....
Favorite thing: SEE THE CITY/CENTRE ISLANDS. In the upper right of this poster you will an island with no buildings crowded on them. Centre Island is Toronto's island getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city without having to drive for hours. Its a short ferry ride from downtown and is nestled between Ward's Island and Hanlan's Point. It has tons of bike and rollerblading trails and a variety of things to do and see, including popular children's attraction Centreville Amusement Area: ferris wheel, water slide , miniature golf course, picnics areas , train rides and a petting zoo.
The beaches on the island's south side are supervised only July and August...trust me even the summers are cold here!
Visit Toronto Island park, it...
