Nightclubs and bars: The best websites for Toronto nightlife
There are 2 websites that I use myself when trying to decide where to go out. Try www.martiniboys.com or www.clubcrawlers.com

Nightclubs and bars: Always adding more!
There are way too many clubs in Toronto so finding a good one can be hard. The club scene here is always changing...clubs will open and literally close half a year later. We have too many clubs and not enough clubbers to fill them! There are those tried and true guaranteed full houses but depending on what atmosphere you like, they may not be up to par. The scene here is generally focused on 2 genres: the hiphop scene and the dance music scene. We have some great local DJ's and international big names come to some of our bigger venues on a frequent basis.

Most of the clubs here now have a "style code" As jeans have become a lot more fashionable in a dress code kinda way, there are exceptions made. As long as you look stylish and trendy (and tidy too!) you should have no problems getting into some of the more "stooshy" clubs. Many will not permit you to wear trainers (running shoes) or bandanas or baseball caps. Otherwise, you should be fine!

Not being a night owl I never really experienced much of the late night scene here in Toronto but I am informed that pretty much everywhere has to stop serving alcohol at 2 am. Some bars are quite generous in letting you finish your drinks but others will literally herd you out, finished or not. Never mind, you can always pick up some non-alcoholic beer from a 24 hr convenience store :(

No glasses on the patio after midnight - hmmm, where's my beer? It's all gone dark, OMG!

Nightclubs and bars: The Lobby - Stylish and Sophisticated
This fun hotspot is a must while in Toronto. The sleek stylish black and white interior suits the trendy party goers. There is a restaurant in the back and private lounges downstairs. What makes the Lobby fun is the great tunes, service, and sexy clientele. The Lobby is a local favorite among the Entertainment and Celebrity crowd. I hear it really fills up around the time of the Toronto Film Festival. Like most trendy bars, drinks here aren't cheap. A mixed drink is around $10 CDN.

Dress code here is pretty much anything trendy. You can see guys wear anything from jeans and a t-shirt to a 3 piece suit. The girls do it up right wearing anything with sex appeal.

Nightclubs and bars: Good view of the city & swanky lounge
51st floor of the Manulife Building. $5 to get in, very expensive drinks and medicore finger food/appetizers but the decor, view and atmosphere are very, very good. Reservations are recommended and make sure you tell them if you want the reservations for dinner because if you don't, they assume it's just for drinks.

Wear nice clothing as it is upscale...not sure if there is a dress or code or not

Nightclubs and bars: Watch the game
120 0z pitchers of beer a cheapie menu and big screen T.V.s ...what more need be said. Close to the University so tends to draw a younger crowd.. after the game they start clearing away tables to make room for the dance floor and the DJ starts playing all of the music of the moment.

It's a sports bar that turns into a dance bar after the game so either attire will do.

Nightclubs and bars: Best spot in the the city... AND on a Wednesday.
Reilly's on Wednesday night is an institution for hip hop during the summer months. This is where Toronto hip hop lovers congregate for a night of cheap drinks and good music. I guess the appeal is in the vibe. Good people that like good music, in an atmosphere that feels more like a house party than it does bar. If you're a serious fan of the music, this is where you need to be every Wednesday of the summer.

    Anything goes.

    Nightclubs and bars: Seven Lounge
Seven Lounge on Richmond Street - Toronto

Club Seven is located right on Richmond Street in the Entertainment District of Toronto. It was a Saturday night and I only had a couple of hours left and I heard it was a good spot so I checked it out. There was a line up for starters on a Saturday night and lots of security. It was $15 to get in and you get padded down on the way in. So that gives you a little different feeling and you know your not at Anne of Green Gables place anymore, but after finally getting in and getting through coat check it was clear they have a very popular nightclub. There are two levels and they are both very busy and it’s all dance music. Besides the dance floor space on the main level there was edges with dancers and the club had professional dancers as well as props I guess. There was a topless guy with trumpet in one corner dancer and two girls in lingerie, cowboy hats and boots in a cage up over the dance floor that could have been running an aerobics show. They were in extremely good shape. They had Stella Artois and even though it was extremely busy it was relatively easy to get a drink. As another interesting note you will see from the web site that the place is named after the seven deadly sins, something like the movie Seven!

There is a code apparently at time, so you might want to check that out!

Nightclubs and bars: Cheap drinks & older crowd
I've been here 4 times, 3 on Saturdays and once on Fridays. The Saturday nights were great but I wasn't impressed with the Friday night...maybe because this club started offering cheap drinks and everyone got drunk and crazy. It's an older crowed...I found it a little more older on Friday nights were there were a lot of ppl after work. $2.50 for drinks both nights - $10 to get in and you can put yourself on the guest list to avoid the line-up...go to website to do that. If you eat there, no cover charge. Music is a mix, not that that great but good enough.

No sporty or atheltic attire, sneakers or baggy cloths...no caps. Women can wear "fashionable" jeans.
