Cora is also a cozy place to eat breakfast the servings is not that big as Eggsmart but the fruit included stand out. They only serve 2 eggs, 1 sausage etc but in Eggsmart it's doubled. The taste is almost the same.
The inside was organized, with paintings and they have more staff that made service much faster. They have other location too at Blue jays way at Wellington st.
Cora's is great, busy, always busy, specially on the weekends. Its a family restaurant that's open for breakfast/brunch only. It's got a fantastic menu, at very reasonable prices for what you're getting. The food is fresh, creative, presented very very well, service fast, just make sure you get there early on the weekends so you avoid the line up!!! We usually try to get there for 9am on a Saturday morning so that we can get seats or don't have to wait longer than 10 minutes or so. After 9:30 on a Saturday or Sunday morning, the line up starts to creep out the door and out the corner.
Favorite Dish: Hmmmm, really, everything's so good! Particular faves would be the eggs benny, croquet monsier (dunno if i spelled that right), and the strawberry surprise!
We discovered Cora's through the Intercontinental Hotel's concierge and we loved it so much that we had breakfast there both days. There was usually a line that stretched out the front door of people waiting for a table, but it moves fast and the food is worth the wait. Cora's specialty is crepes-like-art; some savory (with eggs and ham--crepomelette!) and some with decadent fruit sauce fillings and Nutella. Fruit accompaniments are cut and arranged like sculpture and every dish is a feast for the eyes as well as the palate here. Tucked in between the buildings of downtown Toronto, Cora's has indoor and outdoor sidewalk bistro style seating, the latter being a good vantage point for people watching. A brisk Ontario morning with an opulent omelette, a warm cup of tea, and maybe your sweetheart - no place better!
Favorite Dish: I highly recommend the Raspberry 4 Lucie crepe, Crepomelette, and Nutella & Banana crepes. And a steaming cup of English breakfast tea.
In Quebec, it's not uncommon to find places with all day breakfast. In Ontario that concept has been a bit of an oddity. So here comes Cora's, a Quebec chain, to Toronto. Unfortunately, the quality has not come with the name. The menu is your typical breakfast fare of eggs, pancakes, metal rivets, and tones of fruit on the plate. Good stuff for sure, but the location downtown for some reason don't match up to back home in Quebec.
Favorite Dish: eggs, bacon, nuclear missile pancakes.
Cora's has everything you could want for breakfast, bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, cereal, crepes, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, and every combination of the above.
Favorite Dish: My favorite dish was Egg Benedict. I loved it so much I took a photo for VT. Look at that load of fruit along with it. Yummy!!
