Tacos el Asador: Best Tacos Ever

by lohki Updated Jul 20, 2007

This ia my idea of a greasy spoon, and my FAVOURITE place for a quick bite.

Furnished with picnic tables and decorated with Latin American flags don't forget to take a look for the "Plinko" machine/game beside the counter.
If you eat in, the food will be served in plastic coloured baskets.

There is always a festive feeling in this tiny corner cafe, and don't worry if it looks busy. It is always busy, things will move along fast. Even if there isn't room on a bench you can always take out and eat in Christie Pitts park, just west of here.

Favorite Dish: I almost always have the Beef and Bean burrito $3.99, but the crispy beef tacos $2.29 are great as well! I love the nacho plate $5.50 and the soft taco's are also only $2.29.

Everything is made fresh by this family run joint, and they truly have the best hot sauce in the city! At least I think so.

I know you can have beer here, the selection isn't large but I don't think there is any wine or liquor available. Doesn't matter, beer goes best with their food anyway!

Tacos el Asador: Yummy El Salvadorian food!

by agapehoneybee Written Aug 18, 2006

Cheap and tasty what more do you need? You can get full meals for $7.75 including a drink or $12. with an imported bottle of beer. The grub here consists of taco's, quesadilla's (not like mexican ones...small tortilla wrap with your choice of meat or vegetables and melt in your mouth cheese), papusa's, tamali's, salad, soup and more. The cafe is somewhat small. The tables are picnic style and can comfortably fit 4 people at each table. I would say there are 6 tables in all. Service is nice and fast.

Favorite Dish: I usually get the combo #4: 2 papusa's (I get it with black beans and cheese), 1 quesadilla (i get chicken) and a drink (i get horchata...yummm sweet rice and cinnamon drink).

Tacos el Asador: Guatemala en Koreatown

    by RB_Oakes Written Apr 10, 2005

A Guatemalan family runs this taquiera at the corner of Bloor W and Clinton, one block west of Christie Station in Koreatown. They make some of the best burritos in the city, and complement this with other fine Latin fare, a full selection of regional beverages and futbol on the television. Picnic benches provide a communal atmosphere and the prices are pretty good.

Favorite Dish: Beef burrito, chicken quesadilla.
