  • OK so it's the most popular tourist attraction in Toronto but the view from the top is worth the queuing. Get someone to take a photo of you laying on the glass floor, mine came out great, it almost looks like I'm flying!!! (You might get some crazy looks, but trust me, it's worth it!)

  • Of course you have to do the CN tower. The world's tallest hypodermic needle. Be cheap and walk up, it's good exercise; all 1815 feet worth!

Jump up and down on the glass floor and test your mettle
It's really tall. Legend says that if you gobbed off the top, it could crush a mercedes benz.

  • Directions: Right smack dab in the center of town. Pretty well impossible to miss, but if you still can't find it, it's located next to the big white elephant known as the skydome (that's a whole other story)

CN Tower: Visit the CN Tower.
  • Tip Rating:
  • It is 553 metres high and is the highest free standing tower in the world. There are lifts to the panorama platform and then onto the 'space deck' at 447 metres high. There is also a simulated trip through space in the Mindwarp Theatre.

  • Go and take a visit in the CN-Tower. Buy the ticket that will take you all they way up to the skypod. From here you have a wounderful 360 degree view over Toronto.
This isn't for those who suffer from fear of heights.

CN Tower: The Sky Dome & CN Tower
  • Tip Rating:
  • The CN Tower is the tallest free standing structure in the world, it also has a glass floor so you can look down, also the Tower has a revolving restaurant (but it's expensive)...and the SkyDome is right beside it, it has a roof that opens and closes (the Dome top).

  • The tallest free standing structure in the world.
It looks all the more tall because the nearby buildings are much shorter than it.
The view is spectacular and worth a second visit at night.
There is an attraction called the Glass Floor which is exactly what it says: a glass floor where you can look down at the ground 342m below you. It was really funny watching people who couldn't even stand near it let alone walk on it. Most people lie down on it.

  • Tip Rating:
  • You can not avoid it. Some people call it a tourist trap but you have to go: the CN Tower. You almost don't have a choice. It has such an impact on the Toronto skyline that you can not miss it. The one problem is that it isn't that cheap. But you can save money by skipping the rides. They are not really worth the money anyway.

Toronto's most famous, most visible landmark, the CN Tower is the world's tallest free-standing structure. You already knew that? A recap: built in 1976, the tower measures 553 metres in height. From its Lookout Level it offers a stunning view of the city, especially at sunset. Daring visitors can test their courage by taking a walk across the glass floor 113 stories above the ground, or travel higher up the tower to the Sky Pod.
The tower's revolving 360 Restaurant offers an award-winning wine list and spectacular view, and Horizons Café is a unique spot to enjoy a relaxing pre-dinner drink.
At the base of the tower, a fully-licensed fresh market cafe serves an array of international foods. Also, a large marketplace, a duty-free shop and a collection of entertainment venues -- including the Maple Leaf Cinema, an arcade and motion simulator rides. -- are also part of the tower complex.
