 | | | | CN Tower: The CN tower | Tip Rating: | | | | |
Let me start with these "must see activities" with the biggest tourist attraction (I think) of Toronto : the CN tower! This picture of the tower was taken from inside the Skydome (the baseball stadium of the "Toronto Blue Jays"), which is next to the CN tower. The CN tower is the world's tallest free-standing structure and was built in 1976. The tower measures 553 metres in height. From its Lookout Level it offers a great view of the city. A fun feature is the glass floor, you can test your courage by taking a walk across the glass floor 113 stories above the ground. Hahaha, I did it! after some hesitation though, hahaha. From there you can travel even higher up the tower to the Sky Pod another 33 storeys above ground. Prices There are several packages that visitors can purchase. The Total Tower Experience package includes the Look Out, Glass Floor, Sky Pod, a film, and two rides for $29.99 per person. Observation Experience packages includes the Look Out, Glass Floor and Skypod for $22.49 (Adult 13-64), $20.49 (Senior 65+), and $17.49 for children (4-12). The Look Out and Glass Floor package goes for $15.99 (adults), $13.99 (seniors) and $10.99 (children). Location : You can't miss see the CN tower, because it dominates the skyline of Toronto. It is located in the heart of Downtown Toronto, right in between the SkyDome and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Front Street, just north of Bremner Blvd Hours : Sunday - Thursday : 10:00am - 10:00pm Friday - Saturday : 10:00am - 11:00pm Leave a Comment Directions: In the heart of Downtown Toronto, right in between the SkyDome and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Front Street, just north of Bremner Blvd.Website: http://www.cntower.ca/

When you get up the tower, you HAVE to stand on the Glass Floor! Hahaha, I did! Yep, I found it very scary, it took me quite a while before I dared to put a foot on it. Totally stupid of course to be so afraid, because there is no difference between standing on the normal floor or the glass floor.... except for the view.... eeeeeks! The Glass Floor has been specifically designed for the CN Tower. It is 256 square feet of solid glass that is five times stronger than the required weight bearing standard for commercial floors. It could actually withstand the weight of 14 large hippos.... well, that is what their website says, hahahaha, but why would anyone would like to put 14 large hippos on there!?
