Impossible not to see it, unforgivable not to visit it. The Tower is the World's tallest building with 553 metres of height.
The main pic was taken from th top of the Tower through the glass floor. An impressive experience indeed! But see the other pics.

Right at the top, (with public access anyway), is the Sky Pod, the worlds highest public observation deck at 447 m (1,465 ft.). Of course on a beautiful day like we had the views are beyond words.
Naturally because this is a "must do" experience you WILL have to queue. Although you can buy tickets online from their website and it says avoid the queues. It may be worth a try.
At the base of the tower are a selection of add-ons, simulators, games etc. I know parents will have a job talking the kids out of the extra expense but they really are just dross floating on top of the true experience, (not the kids, the attractions). And of course they aren't compulsory.

Quite funny really. Bungy Jumping Madness was VT's example for my description of the CN Tower and I thought OH YES.
The CN tower is probably the first thing that comes to mind to do when you get here because it's so in your face, you really can't miss it. And yes, it's right, you just have to go. The Tower itself IS a wonder from the views from the bottom, to the ride up in the elevator, to the views from the top, it really is something that a visitor to Toronto shouldn't miss. I just pitty those poor people who don't like heights. They would deffinately not like it up here. Especially the Glass Floor, (342 m (1,122 ft)), it's amazing to stand on it and look straight down. At this level also is the Outdoor Observation Deck. Further up still is the Horizons Café and the Indoor Observation Deck.
At 351 m (1,150 ft.) is 360, the fine dining restaurant which rotates slowly, (once every 2 hours), giving a full view. (continued).

Just like anyone visiting Toronto, we had to go to the top of the CN Tower for the observatory expereince. Other than being surrounded by WAY too many people, this was a cool thing to do--we got our views of the city, walked on the glass floor, and had lunch in their food court. The guys surprised us when they took our picture before we got on the elevator. Naturally I ended up buying the picture, even though I thought I looked fat, and Christy had a goofy forced-grin on her face...

When you look down from the CN tower you can see the Skydome (or nowadays called Rogers Centre), the baseball stadium of the Toronto Blue Jays. And I was in luck.... the roof of the Dome was open and a game was in play! Fascinating to see a baseball game from this high.
Hahaha, I couldn't resist.... With the binoculars and zoom on my camera I was able to look a little bit at the baseball game :-)) Oh, how I wished I was in that stadium at that moment!

The CN Tower is the largest freestanding structure in North America...or something like that. It is quite large. Apparently people spend a great deal of money to go up inside. Not exactly something I would be into, but I do like how my picture came out.

At 553.33 metres (1,815.39 feet), the Canadian National Tower is the tallest tower and freestanding structure in the world. Built in 1976 by Canadian National Railway (CN) to demonstrate the strength of Canadian industry, the tower was originally designed as a radio and television transmitting antenna. There are microwave receivers for distant signals at about 305 metres, and the top of the transmission antenna is at the apex of the tower.
Metal staircases with 1,776 steps reach the Sky Pod level (447 m; 147 stories) and are the tallest metal staircases on earth. These stairs are intended for emergency use and are not open to the public, except for twice a year for charity stairclimb events: around Earth Day in the spring by the World Wildlife Fund; and in the fall by the United Way's Toronto chapter.
Admission to the Tower is $16 Cdn and an additional $7 for the Space Deck (2003). The tower is open from 9am-11pm daily

The tower is Toronto's most famous, most visible landmark. It is the worlds tallest freestanding tower. Built in 1976, the tower measures 553.34 m (1815 ft 5 in). The Look Out Level offers a stunning view of the city, especially at sunset. Daring visitors can test their courage by taking a walk across the Glass Floor 113 stories above the ground. My brother and i jumped at the same time onto the glass floor. It scared everyone, but we didn't fall through. The glass floor has enough strength to hold 38,556 kg (85,000 lbs) or 14 hippos, or all the Phily cheese stake eating fatties you know.
You can also travel higher up the tower to the Sky Pod another 33 stories above ground, which of course costs you more money.
The tower's revolving 360 Restaurant offers an award-winning wine list and spectacular view for any romantic evening. At the base of the tower, a fully-licensed fresh market cafe serves an array of international foods and there is plenty to shop for in the 12,500 sq. foot Marketplace.
If the glass floor isn't enough excitement for you hit the Arcade or LEGO Racers: The Ride motion stimulator ride. The Maple Leaf Cinema also plays a 15 minute film on the construction of the CN Tower.
Prices
There are several packages that visitors can purchase. The Total Tower Experience package includes the Look Out, Glass Floor, Sky Pod, a film, and two rides for $31.99 per person.
Observation Experience packages includes the Look Out, Glass Floor and Sky-pod for $25.99 (Adult 13-64), $23.99 (Senior 65+), and $19.99 for children (4-12).
The Look Out and Glass Floor package goes for $19.99 (adults), $17.99
(seniors) and $13 .99 (children).

Whenever I see the CN tower it makes me think of the show Forever Knight. There is a revolving restaurant and a glass walkway that you could see though or lie down on. There are some great views of the city from here.

The world's tallest free-standing structure at 1,815 ft., 5 inches. There's a great view on a clear day across the Toronto Islands and of the city. Stand on the glass floor with a view way, way, way down! I still can't do it! The ride up is on a glass fronted elevator. The cheapest way to go is around $20 which will take you up to the observation deck and the skypod which is the highest you can go up.
The Tower was built in 1976 and I remember vividly my first visit was I was a child, the glass fronted elevator scared the crap out of me! lol! If you're afraid of heights stay at the back of the elevator and don't look ;-)
Feel like eating at this height? There's the 360 Restaurant up there which rotates giving diners a full view of the surrounding landscape.
There's also Horizon's Cafe, I can totally recommend the strawberry waffe, which, though pricey, is worth every penny. It's a cheaper way to eat and still have a great view though it doesn't rotate like 360 does.
There's also Marketplace Cafe but I'm not exactly sure where it is located.
