I flew in late Thursday and got through customs with plenty of time to navigate the bus & subway routes AND get in a show at Second City Theater all in that night. Subway is very reliable and efficient. Buses aren't that bad if you're a cheapskate like me. Parking is a small fortune downtown, so its worth the trouble to rely on public transportation in my minf.

We don't have much of a choice...
We don't have much of a choice in terms of domestic air travel. Air Canada has a virtual monopoly here and they know it! Service is getting worse by the day. Fortunately, there are a couple of small low cost airlines starting domestic services recently like WestJet, Jetsgo and Canjet. If you like full service airlines, you have to go with Air Canada. However, if you decide to go the low cost route, try one of one of the above airlines. I will add their web addresses here later. DO NOT go with Air Canada's own low cost airline Tango. I've had very bad experience with them on several of my business trips. Their on time performance has to be one of the worst in the industry.

    Airport
Toronto Pearson International Airport is Canada's busiest airport, handling 28.9 million passengers in 2000. Established in 1939, Pearson Airport currently handles more than 1,200 arrivals and departures every day - or more than 426,506 aircraft movements last year. There are shuttle connections between the airport and downtown Toronto, as well as taxi and limo services , and connections with public transit. Toronto has airline connections with most major airports in the United States and the rest of the world.

This airline uses the Boeing 747 sometimes, but mainly the Airbus A310-308 for it's flights to Manchester, England and Karachi, Pakistan.

    Air Transat to Toronto
Air Transat is a charter airline. Tickets are cheaper than most airlines going to Toronto. They serve a light snack on the plane and show a movie. By the time you know it you already reached Toronto. The staff are great and accomodating. As well they are always on time except for occasional weather hazard. But the great thing is no stop overs like Northwest Airlines.

    Cheap flights to NY.
If you are planning to visit NY. or other US destinations try this out http://www.jetblueairways.com If you reserve early you will get an excellent price. You will have to take a bus to Buffalo with Greyhound and take the flight from there. If you are planning to go to Niagara Falls then Buffalo airport is the closest (most convenient) Leather seats and TV.
