    Pearson International Airport
Toronto Airport has three terminals Terminal 1 is for Air Canada's overseas flights plus most Star Alliance partners. Terminal 2 handles Air Canada domestic and transborder flights plus United Airlines. Terminal 3 is for most non-Canadian airlines.

    Pearson Airport YYZ
Pearson Airport is the biggest airport of Canada. It has 2 terminals (1 & 3) and more construction is in progress. Terminal 1 is used for Domestic Air Transport; served by Air Canada, Jazz and others. Terminal 2 is under construction. Terminal 3 is used by the big International Carriers. To travel between the terminals use the free D-link train (You have to go up some floors to get there). See the Airline - Terminal realation list for more information. Travel town to downtown is about 20 minutes (more during traffic jams).

    Flying in...
Arriving by air , you'll almost certainly land at Toronto's main airport, Lester B. Pearson International , about 25km northwest of the city centre. There are three terminals - terminals 2 and 3 are where most international flights arrive, and terminal 1 handles the majority of domestic flights. Each of the terminals has a full range of facilities, including money-exchange offices, ATMs and free hotel hotlines.

    Flying to Toronto
Toronto does have two, one could say three even, airports. Lester B. Pearson (YYZ) is the one served by all the international and national airlines that service Toronto. City Centre Airport on Toronto Island is only an option for private aircraft and limited Jazz service from Ottawa, Montreal and London, ON. Also, Buttonville Airport in Markham has some scheduled flights to Ottawa and points north and Hamilton (YHZ) is nearby, but again there are only limited service to points in Canada. (Parking, however, is free!)

    from airport to the downtown
It takes only 1.5 hours to get to Toronto Pearson International airport from NYC on direct flight. The public transportation is very easy and the most convenient and inexpensive way to go to downtown Toronto. There are a few shuttle services operate back and forth between the city and airport but the one i recommend is Airport Express bus service. This one departs from all airport terminals 1, 2 and 3 every half an hour off-peak and every 20 minutes during peak which is between 14:55 and 21:55. The service operates from airport between 4:55 am to 00:55 am and from the city btw 4:00am to 23:45 pm. One-way adult fare is CAN$15.50, free transport for children below 11 yrs old. The bus stops at major locations in downtown and you can easily take subway or cab to go to your final destination. If you are tired after a long flight and you do not feel that you will take the bus, you can also take a cab and pay only CAN$30.- flat wherever you go in the city from airport. (you know what, just between you and me, you dont even have to pay tip to the cabs which is almost a tradition in NYC...that's good, right??) good luck..:)

    Air Canada: Seattle to Toronto
First chance to fly Air Canada and all in all not too poor a choice. Purchased the tickets through United and at the same time made a reservation for a dog as accompanied baggage on the way back. The flight was scheduled to leave Seattle at 11:40 am. The check-in lines (United Counter) were long but well organized with a uniformed rep directing traffic at the end of the line. The plane was an A319. It seemed the leg room was a couple inches more than what we've usually experienced. I had a seat that would not lock in the upright position and this was an annoyance for the whole trip. I would have requested moving but the plane was full. The whole coach cabin was served by two very hard working flight attendants. I was surprised that only two were assigned to handle that large group. Most flights have at least three for coach I believe. But they worked hard, fast, and were congenial for the 4.5 hour trip. Baggage claim and customs in Toronto went smoothly. However we did encounter some confusing advice when we asked about our choice of dog crates for the return trip. No one seemed to know exactly what the specifications were and in fact one ticket clerk was extremely obnoxious about the matter. However, all other personel were pleasant and helpful.
