The Tangled Garden employs the nicest people in the world in their restaurant. From the time you first walk in from the street until the time you leave their establishment you are made to feel SO WELCOME and SPECIAL!!

Favorite Dish: Mom and I only partook of a coffee in the early A.M. at The Tangled Garden but while we were there we asked to look at their menu----and BOY!!-- it was a hard choice to make -- so we decided that we would have lunch there NEXT year!!( and do the Cove Country -THIS year).
Their Stoneware Mugs that they serve their delicious coffee in are locally made and are certainly a coffee mug that you will be sure to comment on.( as it is most interesting)
.These Pottery Mugs are made by SUE LYONS in Kingston and her Tangled Garden Pottery is available for purchase if you so wish.
The Tangled Garden is also licensed under the LCBO.
One thing FOR SURE that I will be trying NEXT Year at The Tangled Garden is one of their AWESOME DESSERTS!! eg. CHOCOLATE ERUPTION--$5.25

The Tangled Garden serves such foods as PASTAS,SUPER SANDWICHES(with fries and side salad),SOUPS & SALADS, AN ARRAY OF BURGER CHOICES, PIZZA, QUICK SNACKS(poutine, Brushetta Bread etc.) and of course numerous DINNER ENTREES(veal parmesan,steak,liver etc.etc.)

The distinctive village of Westport is located 90 min. southwest of Ottawa and 30 min. north of the 401 at Kingston. Approx. 1hr 15 min - 11/2 hrs from Belleville.

There would be no other way to tour Westport other than STROLLING. The only time you would need your vehicle would be to go to Foley's Mountain -Spy Rock.

The architect of the Westport Post Office is most interesting--it was one of the most impressive buildings that I noticed --IN FACT-- it doesn't even look like a post-office and it is only on second glance and making a point of looking that one realizes that it is a POST OFFFICE!!!
VERY BUSY place and QUITE IMPRESSIVE!!

Spy Rock is "A MUST SEE "Place in Westport, but please proceed with CAUTION while on the rocks--They could be slippery when wet and it only takes a second for an accident to happen, if your foot-hold was the least bit shaky.
Not advisable to take small children to Spy Rock unless you are holding onto them AT ALL TIMES. The elder need to pay heed to the caution requirements also, as they may not be as steady on their feet as they would like to be.

There are two places in Westport that sell THE FAMOUS FUDGE--one being CEDAR BRIDGE-ICECREAM & CANDY and the other LOWER MOUNTAIN MERCHANTILE. They both have the SAME Varieties and at the SAME price of $11.99cdn a lb. BUT the SECRET is to buy at CEDAR BRIDGE because there you will get 1/2 lb. FREE when you purchase 1lb.of THEIR FUDGE ( and besides it is made FRESH right at CEDAR BRIDGE.)

Now, another thing to remember and not get hosed in with is THE ICECREAM!! THE CEDAR BRIDGE-ICECREAM & CANDY is the shop that sells the best flavours of icecream as well as the lower price of icecream than their opponent shop being COFFEE & CO. Get your coffee at COFFEE & CO. but NOT your icecream.
