Windsor Nightlife

Went to the bar and ascetically the bar was average compared to other nightclubs in Windsor. Prices were slightly hire than the other bars. The staff members were fairly nice. Despite the nice staff the bar is being run terribly, the owner demeanour was offensive he walked around the bar and acted with such a hierarchy above every person in the bar. If you are visiting or are from the area there are several bars that much better to go to in this city. I truly will no be very surprised when I see a for sale sign outside their doors. I give this bar two big thumbs down

Dress Code: No Hats

Windsor has a vivacious bar scene, centered on Ouellette Avenue between Wyandotte Street and the river. This 5-block strip is crammed with clubs, mostly due to the volume of American students taking advantage of Ontario's drinking age (19). On the weekend, people are everywhere, dressed up and trolling the strip, or in long lines snaking from club doors. A night out on the town won't even cost you that much - fierce competition means drinks are cheap!

Dress Code: For girls, dressy young clubwear. For guys, casual but neat outfits.

This is a neat little club just off the main club strip. I went there on Friday night, when it's hosted by The Electric Front radio station. Expect LOUD industrial and EBM, with a mixed goth and mainstream crowd. The club layout is quite snazzy - mirrors and zebra stripes decorate the long dancefloor flanked by seating. The age range is a bit higher than some other clubs. I'd say patrons were mostly in their early twenties but extended up to 30 or so.

Dress Code: Wear vinyl and platforms if you wish, but anything black will do.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. ALL THE BARS ON THE MAIN STRIP ARE O.K. BUT THE'RE ALL THE SAME GIRL AND GUY WATCHING GAME.
IF YOU WANT TO JUST HANG OUT AND HEAR GREAT LIVE MUSIC THIS IS THE ONLY SPOT TO DO IT WITHOUT A COVER CHARGE.
I WAS IMPRESSED.

Attention- Ive finally decided to write about 'The Beach NIghtclub' located in Windsor's dowtown district which otherwise I can't say enough GOOD things about. Unfortunately 'The Beach' usually known as the 'underagers' hangout of the street now has an even worse downside. I now have heard 3 different stories about purses being stolen at this bar. I personally never bring in my purse but I guess at this bar it happens more often then not. The bartenders are known for trying to short change you almost everytime you go to buy a drink. I heard the owner is being sued for seriously injuring a man in the bar and is now in court for it. so he might be the one that needs the xtra cash from the purse snatchings.
As far as personal experience goes, I once walked in the washroom and the toilet had overflowed and it covered the ground completely, so a friend and I told one of the employees, but when we returned almost 2 hours later it was still flooded! It was absolutley sick. I love downtown Windsor and I want you to aswell, so if you are a person who values hygiene and is looking to meet someone over the age of 16, steer clear of The Beach. Unless they are under new ownership. Then you can disregard this message.

It's finally time for the ladies to get their turn!
Perfect for bachelorette parties, Danny's is the hot spot where the atmosphere is hot and the male dancers are even hotter!! This is an ALL nude male strip club. Prepare to drop a lot of cash however. Drinks are usually priced around $5-$8 Canadian and there IS a 2 drink minimum. People not drinking at their table have been known to get booted from the table to make room for people willing to spend money on beverages. Cover is $10 American or $15 Canadian. Lap dances are $5 Canadian, plus tip of course, and every dancer is well worth it. Bachelorette parties, birthdays and other special occasions can be well accommodated by staff if making reservations.

Dress Code: Dress to impress. Dressy or club attire is what you usually see. Jeans are permitted, but please dress them up. Remember this is a club with ALL female clientele, and exotic male dancers.

Back in my younger years (I would say from 1991 to 1993), my friends and I would frequent the nightlife in Windsor, as it was just over the bridge and we were legally old enough to enter the bars and clubs.
Our favorite spots were Peppermint's, O'Tooles, Bernie's World, Bentley's, and the Canada Tavern. Not sure how many of those places are still standing today---if I remember correctly, Bentley's and the Tavern are the only places still in existence. But Windsor definitely has plenty of places to visit on Friday and Saturday nights...I recommend going a little deeper into the source to find out exactly what type of bar makes you happy.

Dress Code: Most of the party crowd in Windsor will be donning the usual club attire, however some places are a little more casual and you'll find the majority of the crowd in jeans. Check out local websites to find out for sure before choosing a bar or club in Windsor for more information on dress codes and locations, music types, etc.

For an evening of superior Las Vegas style entertainment SHOWTIME LOUNGE at Casino Windsor, offers an intimate setting for a variety of shows. You'll hear celebrity impersonators singing classic chart toppers, watch Vegas-style revues or enjoy side-splitting comedy.
One of my favourite shows is the "Caverners" who do a great job as, you guessed it, the Beatles.
