    Dining out in Baie-Saint-Paul

by Jefie Updated Jan 21, 2013

Downtown Baie-Saint-Paul is full of great little restaurants so if you don't have much time to explore beyond Quebec City but would still like to get a taste of Charlevoix, it's definitely worth driving to Baie-Saint-Paul to enjoy a good meal. Most of the restaurants feature delicious local products and recipes, and no matter where you choose to go, there seems to be a great atmosphere all around town. Some of the restaurants I've tried and liked are the Cafe des Artistes, a great little cafe with a nice light menu, and the Orange Bistro, where you won't want to miss the Fondant au Migneron. Bon Appétit!

If your n the area, your are either a landscape lover, a art lover, a skier or...a hiker!!
    :D

So come on to the "Parc des grands-jardins" and go for a 3 to 5 hour hike and discover what the beautifull scenery you say on the groud looks like 1000meters higher!!

The steep climbing and high winds at the top really made us feel like we we're on an adventure! :)

And look at that frog and see how happy it is! Come and see why!!
    :)

And if your not convinced, here's a quote from their website:
Experience the magic of the taiga and the tundra as you explore forests of black spruce, treading on carpets of lichen and moss as thick and soft as in an English gardens. This vegetation gives shelter to a representative nordic region wildlife (moose, bear, wolf, caribou, lynx...) that you might be lucky enough to view as you round a bend in a trail or walk on a lake's shore. Discover a piece of Northern Québec in the heart of the Charlevoix World Biosphere Reserve—a treasure chest of nature at its best.

    Come and play with me!!

Galleries and boutiques on rue St-Jean-Baptiste

One thing most visitors enjoy doing while in Baie-Saint-Paul is strolling down rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste and stopping by the numerous local art galleries, crafts and souvenirs shops, candy stores and cafes. There are over 10 galleries on that street alone, each one more unique and original than the next. You don't have to be an expert in arts to visit a gallery - all visitors are more than welcome to look around, and who knows? Maybe you'll fall in love with a piece and bring it home with you!
