Simonneeddy Says: Inside Apartments only for employees of Cartier mining or employees of the School Commission (They have several and might rent you one) Inside the wall. Inside stairways and balcony.You do not have to go outside to shop or go to the pool, exercise room etc.
We arrived in Labrador City by train from Sept Iles a 10 hour trip.
We were met by a school bus which took us to Fermont Hotel in THE WALL..
When we visited Mount Wright, Labrador City and Wabush we had a school bus and local guides.
When we left for Baie Comeau with a stop at Manic 5 to visit we had our Tour Bus which had come empty except for our baggage and the driver to Fermont from Sept. Iles. He actually arrive before we did.

Gagnon a town that no longer exists
DON'T MISS THE TRAVELOGUES BELOW. GAGNON was built to house the Cartier Mine workers in 1960 and closed in 1985. Some families were transferred to the new mine at MOUNT WRIGHT near the Labrador...
There are no building left ! But there are some good private clubs where you can do hunting and fishing. Reserve in advance.
