    363 square kilometres to the northwest of Canada's Capital Region;

    you need car or bicycle to get around.

    "Finally free of the glacier's icy grip around 10,000 years ago, the Gatineau Hills began welcoming an ever-changing parade of humans 5,000 years later: First Nations peoples, explorers, fur traders, loggers, settlers, industrial developers, and finally, recreational users."

    currently, the foilage is Natures. inspiration

    View from Gatineau

    The park seems huge (as the drive to get to the viewpoint seems to take longer than the drive down). The view is spectacular. It's such a calming place and the park also offers some great biking trails.

    We survived the night!

    The tepees are in Val des Monts, about 1 hour from Gatineau.

    If you are interested, write me for more information.

    This is a picture of us the next morning. We survived the night... actually this is where I got engaged!

    camping at -40 celcius

    Winter time... what to do?
    Camping in a tepee. We did this last year in February and it was -40 celcius out. Not recommended when it's that cold out, but ok when only -10 or so. This is only for those that are serious about the outdoors and respect nature. The guy does not advertise to keep attraction down and preserve his land.

    Peaceful and very close to nature.

    Old house

    This is how the older houses look like in Hull. They also have an upscale neighborhood in Hull. I just thought it is interesting to see such old houses.
