Go to Joliette. Visit the SALLE ROLLAND BRUNELLE in the center of town on the banks of the Assumption River and attached to the COLLEGE next to the Cathedral
There is always a show scheduled featuring a famous Quebec Singing Star or a comedian or play. Example I saw 'CELINE DION' sing here when she was just starting out.

Swimming pool

An excellent swimming pool in the heart of town, at the start of a huge park, football Fields, walking and bike path along the Assumption River with boat dock and facilities such as , canoe and kayak rental, an-interpretation center for conservation of the river and the fish in it etc. A snack bar and rest rooms, a change room for skaters in winter. There are bench's all along the path where you can rest and watch the ducks or boats go by.
