Maison Alphonse-Desjardins
Jefie Says:
The Maison Alphonse-Desjardins is one of the most interesting museums in the Quebec City area, and it's free! The house itself is quite interesting - built between 1882 and 1884, it is a fine example of Neo-Gothic architecture and "petit bourgeois" Victorian homes. It has...
Notre-Dame-de-Levis Church
Jefie Says:
The Parish of Levis was founded in 1850 and the same year the Notre-Dame-de-Levis Church was built following the plans of renowned architect Thomas Baillarge, who also designed the Quebec Basilica and about 100 other churches in the province of Quebec. This beautiful...

Au Petit Matin Bed & Breakfast: Recommend as a bypass to Quebec City
airkarat Says:
had visited Quebec City in 2003 with a car and found it difficult to find parking, and annoying if I was having to run back to top up the parking meter. After learning about the Levis Ferry right here on VT, I found this B&B for a Christmastime trip to Quebec. It is located...

What's so special about an ice cream cone dipped in chocolate? Well you'll find out for sure if you go to Les Chocolats Favoris!! This chocolate/ice cream factory is actually one of the main reasons why people from Quebec City will take the ferry across the river to Levis on a warm, sunny day. Don't be surprised to see a huge line-up, that's how popular the place has become over the years! But trust me, it's worth the wait (and you usually don't have to wait that long anyway). A chocolate-dipped ice cream at Chocolats Favoris is like having the most delicious chocolate bar you've ever taster wrapped around your favorite ice cream flavor. It's so thick, some people like to eat the chocolate coating with a spoon! That'll definitely make up for the energy you've lost climbing up the hill from the ferry terminal :o)
Favorite Dish: Orange-flavored ice cream dipped in dark chocolate, strawberry ice cream dipped in milk chocolate, vanilla.... I could go on forever!

Start your journey on the ferry!
Jefie Says:
Between Quebec City and Levis, the St. Lawrence River is only about 1 km wide, which makes for a short, pleasant ride (about 10 minutes) aboard one of the two ferries that make the run, the Lomer-Gouin and the Alphonse-Desjardins. During summer, there's a ferry that departs...
Hop on board the shuttle to Old Levis
Jefie Says:
If you're traveling with young children or elderly people, or if you simply can't bear the idea of climbing 135+ steps, you can buy a shuttle ticket ($1) at the ferry terminal. The shuttle will take you all the way to the top of the cliff, and it's also the best way to get...
Traverse Québec-Lévis
levoyageur Says:
I suggest you take the boat from Québec City to Levis, the cost is only 2 $ and the trip is very short but you have a very nice view with Chateau Frontenac and Vieux-Quebec in one side and Vieux-Lévis in the other.

View of Quebec City
levoyageur Says:
Levis is in the south shore of Quebec and the city offers a lot of panoramic view of the Old capital (Québec). Great view of Chateau Frontenac and Old-Quebec.
