The Chutes de Ste-Ursule are a must see if you are visiting Louiseville, or are just traveling between Montreal and Quebec.
We just happed to see that there was a small park with waterfalls marked on the Quebec map in our road atlas and thought, "what the heck, lets stop," and I am so glad we did.
While not as large as Chute Montmorency near Quebec City there is a quiet, peaceful, air to the smaller cataracts. The 6 lookout points along the trail are marked for the best views of the falls along with 4 different historical sites with information about the logging past of the area.
If you decide to spend more time in this natural paradise there are cabins to rent .

This is a small but interesting zoo we discovered on our way to Montreal. If you have a an hour or two to spare its a fun way to spend your day especially combined with a visit to the nearby Chutes de Ste-Ursule. With 54 different types of animals (including my favorite the Scottish Highland cattle) there is something for everyone.
The kids wont be bored with playground areas for them to have fun and In the summer there is a pool for the kids to swim in as well .
You can bring your own lunch because they also have a nice area to have a picnic

Every summer, all the small aircrafts pilots owner in other provinces and our neigbouring US states gather together at this small airport - Louisville, just 20 minutes drive from north-east of Montreal.
Every year there is a slated gathering on sked. If that happens and you are a pilot, well you're welcome to land there for a BBQ.
