  • Chocolaterie Raphael: Thick and rich hot chocolate

by sbiswas Written Aug 12, 2008

This is a chocolate shop but you can also get coffee and ice cream here. The chocolate is very good but the best thing I had here was the hot chocolate. It's thick and rich - almost like hot melted chocolate but not as filling (I got the cup - not the bowl!). Absolutely sinful.

I think there's another one in Knowlton.

    Favorite Dish: Hot chocolate.

  • CAVALLINI: Dashed expaections

by reedsco Written Jun 16, 2008

Reserved 4 days in advance. Arrived on time. Restaurant half full. Immediately seated at a nice table. Waited ten minutes until a waiter arrived to say that the "Kitchen is backed up tonight" and no food of any kind could be served to us for at least 45 minutes. he suggested we might like to try elsewhere - which we did.

If you decide to try Cavallini be sure to pack a lunch

    Favorite Dish: see above

  • Cavallini Il Ristorante: Cavallini Il Ristorante, authentic!!

    Inside Cavallini Il Ristorante

Cavallini is truly a MUST to visit if you're close to or in Magog. The ambiance is authentic and the food fabulous. The service was fantastic and the hosts wonderfully charismatic. I’m nowhere near being a culinary critic, so I can’t give justice to this great restaurant. You’ll have to see it yourself… but you won’t be disappointed, trust me!

The Pilsen: Enjoy dinner on a unique waterside terrace

by Jefie Written Aug 4, 2004

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    View from the terrace

Located in a historic building next to the Massawippi River, The Pilsen is a great place to enjoy a nice meal in the restaurant's country-style dining room, in the British-style pub or on one of the two waterside terraces.

The food is great and everyone, from the more traditional customers to the more daring ones, will be pleased with the wide selection of meals. There's also a good wine and beer selection.

Favorite Dish: So hard to choose.... so I'll go with the creme brulee!

by Jefie Written Aug 4, 2004

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Located in a nice centennial house in downtown Magog, La Memphre is a great place to unwind in a relaxing atmosphere after a day of hiking or sightseeing. The patio offers a great view of Lake Memphremagog, the food is really good and the staff is very friendly.

Favorite Dish: Give the local beer a try!

Mout de Pomme sparkling apple juice!

    by Deus_ultima Written Aug 31, 2002

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    This is a local specialty!
It looks like Champagne (wellfor the colorblind anyways..) and is often served in a white wine glass, this refreshing drink is...well TRY IT!

It's basically carbonated apple juice..but it's really light and fresh and sold in small bottles (like beer) or in 750ml bottle with the whole wiring and cork (like champagne!)
    :)

Favorite Dish: Mout de Pomme! (Sparkling apple juice)
