We saw this shop while exploring St. Jovite's main business road. It had different type of gifts, local craft, T-shirts, shoes, and lots and lots of books.
What to buy: we had our bank accounts take a dip for south here. Each one of us 5 had our picks. We bought T-shirts, shoes, and few articles of interior decoration. We were also interested in buying a book on local flora and fauna, but the books available were in French.
What to pay: We found the prices to be comparable with those in Toronto / Mississauga area.
There are main boutiques in the village. I enjoyed l'Atelier du Pere Noel (Santa's Workshop), a store filled with Christmas goodies and ornaments.
I also enjoyed visiting the art gallery, where the artists are present painting right in the gallery. Local scenes and other art.
Take time to walk around the village and browse the shops.
What to buy: Specialty ski and hiking gear. Good for specialty sports equipment and clothes.
What to pay: The range of price is medium to pricey, depending on what you buy.
