I used to go to Le St-Sulpice quite often. It's a great place to go in the summer, as it has an amazing terasse that seems to go on for ever in the back. Don't be mistaken, though, as big as that place is it's always packed in the summer. They check i.d. (legal age is 18) but there usually isn't a cover, unless you go dancing or there's a band. The St-Sulpice is in a huge, old house. It's one of the bigger, French-speaking bars, but anglophones don't be deterred; Montrealers love tourists. There are three stories, a basement and a huge terasse in the back that is always bursting full and decorated with white lights. Apparently they serve good nachos and fries. I miss it just thinking about it. Oh, and it's a great place to meet and check out people. That's fun there.
